Music and Sailor Moon

Sun Jun 21, 2009, 12:56 AM
It's pretty common for most artists to listen to jams while they belt out a new art or prose, each song chosen while lost in the maelstrom of courting their inner muse a method of seeing into the words or rhythm and transposing the emotion on paper or in word/photoshop. So what tunes do I jive to when I'm scripting a chapter of Sailor Moon?

The mood necessary of the content usually defines what I need; a touching moment requires something instrumental and soft, battle gets metal and sad stuff, well gets music that inspires tears. To me, writing is a funnel; I show you what I see and hear in my head. It's like watching a movie in there, and adding the soundtrack only helps to accurate the mood I desire to set.

The musics that have definitely helped me the most in this work are as follows:

Can't Fight the Moonlight - Lee Ann Rimes
Blood+ Grand Theme - The latter half. (Very influential instrumental)
Dreamweavers - Llewellyn
Dante's Prayer - Lorena McKennitt
Baf! Baf! - Tegen Toppa Guren Laagaan OST
Padre Nuestros & Mitternacht - E Nominie (German Dudes!)

~ And a few instrumentals from the Doctor Who SSN03 Soundtrack

I'm also pleased to announce the fiction has surpassed 200 pages! That makes it a novel kiddies...about Sailor Moon! This impresses me, if for no other reason than I manages to weave a tale that can keep it going for so long. I know it is paltry no doubt compared to the zeal others have gone to, but nonetheless color me impressed!

I love Sailor Pluto that much ^_^
