Literature Text

"The last of the thrice-forged tears are the most unbearable to shed. The first falls to our birthing cry, the second is beholden to all our joys. The last to fall is unseen, when the broken heart weeps. Forgotten is the first, the second fade in memory quickly. The last is but a river, flowing freely in nightly hours." — The Book of Counted Tears

"A poet knows he can reach a woman's heart with the depth of his words; he caresses her skin with sonnet and ignites her passion with the skill of his prose. Beyond the veil of his words, his voice of falls unheard; his hands ache for the touch of comforts only in written form he knows." — The Book of Counted Tears

"I have not the visage of a well-groomed man, nor do I sport physique like fabled Adonis. I hold no grandeur of material things nor carry on as one in power. All that I claim as my own are my words, and hope; someday they shall not fail me." — The Book of Counted Tears

"I knew not a thing of agony until, behind all doors now locked and barred, that coveted thing of passion did lie; I knew then at that moment there existed no greater courage then sip from the chalice of silence alone." — The Book of Counted Tears

"There is nothing ever so disconcerting as a romance that falters. Embers of that former fire remain, casting forever shadows on the walls of our lives the images of what-ifs and what-could-have-been." — The Book of Counted Tears

"Many seasons have seen my forays into matters of the heart. Each return from such far wanderings leaves me something darker than the shining self I once knew. What remains of tomorrows to come may either be the salvation I yearn for or the final fall of hope's banner." — The Book of Counted Tears

"A fragment of a white knight remains within the faded husk of that former glory. Though I know longer know the man he once was, I reminisce of the honor it was to carry his burden." — The Book of Counted Tears

The Book of Counted Tears...an fictional tome of random thoughts, usually waxing sorrowful or reflection things lost or hurtful. More often than not we each of us add our tears to the book, the pages of which are turned whenever we seek the wisdom of hindsight.

Just thought I would break for a moment from the Sailor Moon novel, put out there something different; diversify if you will. Some of these one-shot quotes came from personal experiences, others simply came to me while at work, or just chilling to music and thinking blankly on whatever. perhaps there are some of these that ring true for you. Feel free to comment if you like; as I said, just some random thoughts I'd thought I might share.
